Last Blog Post ^Don't cry Mr. Dunn^

I think I deserve a 100% on all my blogs because I took my time carefully and when through all my blogs to make sure they were all good so i an receive a 50/50 on this assignment . Last of all my blogs were done on time and I went through all my blogs to make sure all of them were answered to the fullest.

Favorite Subjects

Geology
In enjoyed geology mostly because.I learned about where dinosaurs lived and when dinosaurs and how they died. I learned a lot about dinosaurs this year then all my other years in school so i am grateful for getting a chance to learn about them.

Astronomy
In a astronomy I was my favorite i learned about black holes since I chose the topic on my Acp project. I learned a lot about black holes and how there massive and they suck in things that are near by.
Oceanography
In oceanography I enjoyed learning a lot about the ocean and it's various life under the sea. It interested me because I really didn't know about the oceans life until this year.

Meteorology

In meteorology I enjoyed learning about weather and it's patterns. I learned about temperatures can stay the constant and how they can decrease. Overall I loved how we learned about meteorology.

Astronomey Zone

Dark Matter
Dark matter is an explained as unseen matter that could make up more than ninety percent of the universe. As the name implies, dark matter does not interact with light or other electromagnetic radiation, so it cannot be seen directly, but it can be detected by measuring its effects gravitation . It is believed that dark matter was instrumental in forming galaxies early in the Big Bang theory.

Milky Way Galaxy
The milky way galaxy is the home of our solar system The milky way is- a spiral galaxy of at least two hundred billion stars. Our Sun is buried deep within the Orion Arm about 26 000 light years from the centre.

Star Constellations
Any of certain groupings of stars that were imagined by those who named them to form images of objects, mythological figures, or creatures in the sky. They are useful in helping sky gazers and navigators locate certain stars. A constellation's stars are often designated by its name and letters of the Greek alphabet in order of brightness.

Black Hole
black hole is a region of space that has so much mass concentrated in it that there is no way for a nearby object to escape its gravitational pull

Titan
Is Saturn's largest moon and the only known moon to have a dense atmosphere. Titan is composed of water ice and rocky material. The atmosphere of titan is simply nitrogen and its climate includes methane and ethane clouds

~Power ~Of ~The ~Wind~

1. What 3 factors effect wind?

pressure-gradient force
coriolis effect
friction

2. Which of the 3 do you think has the greatest effect? Why?

I think it is friction because it can changes the wind speeds and possibly directions.

3. What would happen if this factor (from #2) all of a sudden stopped? Remember to include details about what might happen in your response?

I think you could predict the weather because the air would always slow down.

1. List three low clouds, three middle clouds, three high clouds, and one cloud with vertical development?

Lows: Cumulus, Stratus, Stratocumulus

Middle: altostratus, altocumulus, nimbostratus

High: cirrocumulus, cirrostratus, cirrus

2. Which clouds look the best to you?

cumulus

3. What kind of weather does that type of cloud bring?

The cumulus clouds bring very fair weather but they can become thunderheads and bring rain

Green House Effect

1 What is the greenhouse effect?

The phenomenon whereby the earth's atmosphere traps solar radiation, caused by the presence in the atmosphere of gases such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane that allow incoming sunlight to pass through but absorb heat radiated back from the earth's surface

2 What are the 3 most common greenhouse gases?

The three most common greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane.

3 How are the greenhouse gases produced? By many things like deforestation

4 How does the greenhouse effect impact our lives?

It impacts our life because itcauses the earth to be hotter.

5 Is the greenhouse effect good or bad? Why?
I think it is very bad because It could cause many health problems

Offshore Drilling

1. What is offshore drilling?
Offshore drilling is act of extracting resources, primarily oil, in an ocean or lake.

2. Why is it good?
It is a a viable source of domestic production for oil to be obtained.

3.
Why is it bad?
Pollution from everyday operations and oil spills from platforms, pipelines and tankers can occur, and when oil is brought up from beneath the ocean floor, chemicals and toxic substances such as mercury

4. How do you feel about it?
I feel that there are too many risks off offshore drilling, and if it is going to be done, there should be a 100% chance that the oil will be obtained safely with no spills possible.

^^^^All Blogs Info^^^^

I think I should get a 50/50 for all of my blogs because i worked hard on all of my blogs from start to finish without taking any breaks at all. I should get a hundred percent since I checked my punctuality, grammar, and the main issues in all of my blogs. I made sure I focused on my work and I really stressed to get an A on my blogs. That's why i should get a 50/50 on all my blogs.

Recycling is good

1. Most people agree that recycling is a good thing. Why should we recycle glass, plastic, paper and metals.Recycling saves resources used to make new materials like it saves energy . Recycling significantly decreases both air and water pollution, Recycling is good for the economy.

2. What is better recycling or reusing things? Why? Give an example.

Recycling, because if we reuse things, we won't be impacting the world, just our own lives.

3. How can Fayetteville residents recycle? Use your blue rollout recycling cart and put it by the curb by 7 a.m. in the morning.

4. Where is the closest recycling drop-off center to your home (or our school)?
Waste management Macedonia Church Rd.

5. What can you realistically do to promote recycling?
I would tell publishers to write advertisement's of recycling in the daily newspapers, or i could also make blogs on the Internet to promote people to start to recycle.

Renewable Resource

There are many renewable resources but there is one specific one that I am mostly in to out of all of them. The renewable resource is solar energy which is the sun's rays that reach earth. Solar energy can be converted to thermal energy or heat energy and are used to heat water and heat spaces. Solar energy can convert in electricity in two ways photovoltaic and solar power plants. Solar energy is used for heating pools, heating water, space heatings of buildings.

Thats why solar energy is my favorite because with out it we would not have the energy source we have now.

Anthony's Earth Science

My favorite thing about earth science is meteorolgy because I think It's cool because I would like to know about climates and weathers of different parts of the world.

Another thing is that as soon as you get a hurricane or a tornado are anything close to that then you could instantly see whats happenning to the storm and it's effects. You can also see what category the storm going to be and where the storm going to start and end at.

Anthony Earth Science Corner

My most favrite projection is the robinson projection because it is the most popular projection since the early 1960's and it shows the whole world at one time. The robinson projection my favorite since it also shows a equal area projection and some projections are nothin like the robinson projection.
